Denny Troncoso is a seasoned investor with over 10 years of experience in both residential and commercial real estate. He is the founder and president of Coso Capital Group a real estate investment firm located in Ocala, Florida. Currently, his company holds ownership of real estate valued over $15 million dollars consisting of land and apartment communities ranging in size from 30 to 50 units. He has had extensive experience in fundraising, property renovation, creative financing, property management, asset management and acquisition analysis. He is experienced with private placement memorandums using rule 506(b) of Regulation D to raise nearly $2 million dollars from investors.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management and a master’s degree in Real Estate from the University of Central Florida. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Entrepreneurship in Applied Technologies from the University of South Florida. Denny is furthering his education to explore different opportunities to expand his investment portfolio. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker and owner of Coso Realty. In the past, he has held both mortgage and series 6 investment licenses working with mutual funds, IRAs, 401ks, and other retirement plans. Currently, he holds or has held designations from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and the National Apartment Association (NAA) and the National Association of Real Estate Investors (NAREIA).
His work experience includes working as a financial advisor helping people with insurance, debt and retirement programs. In 2010, he started his investment company flipping houses and holding rental properties. As he built his investment portfolio, he acquired experience managing both residential and commercial properties including retail, office and industrial. In 2015, he transitioned his investment strategy from residential to commercial real estate. He sold his rental houses previously acquired and raised capital from investors to acquire a 24-unit apartment building. His latest acquisition a 42-unit apartment building and 35 acres of developable land was also syndicated with investor capital.
Denny is also involved in the community by volunteering via teaching courses on investing and serving on boards. Organizations where he has served include the Apartment Association of Greater Orlando (AAGO), The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), Central Florida Realty Investors (CFRI) and Lake Nona Toastmasters. Denny has guest lectured at the University of Central Florida and served as a mentor for UCF students.
